Fire Department > Burton Fire and Rescue "Mission Statement" Burton Fire and Rescue "Mission Statement" Adopted May 24, 1999 The mission of the Burton Fire Department is to eliminate loss of life or injury due to the ravages of fire or any other peril; to significantly reduce property loss by serving the public with dedication, professionalism and integrity; to emphasize the importance of fire prevention in the community; and temper the level of service with the responsibility to be prudent caretakers of the public funds entrusted to us.
